What We Do

A Simple, Reliable Source for Chicken Prices

Today Chicken Rates Tracker exists to answer one question clearly: what is chicken costing today, and where. We built the site around that single job.

Daily farm gate, wholesale, live retail, and meat retail rates for every city we cover.

City by city pages so you can check rates for Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and other major markets without

Price trend charts showing the last 30 days, so you can see whether today’s rate is high, low, or about average.

Plain, practical content that explains what the numbers mean, not just what they are.

Why This Site Exists

Purpose of This Site

Chicken prices in Pakistan change constantly, and without a clear reference, it is easy for buyers to overpay and just as easy for honest sellers to get accused of overcharging when they have not. Today Chicken Rates Tracker exists to close that information gap with a single, dependable number for each city, each day.

Our purpose is straightforward. We want a household in Multan, a shopkeeper in Peshawar, and a restaurant owner in Karachi to all be able to check the same kind of reliable, dated rate before they buy or sell, instead of relying on rumor, an outdated screenshot, or whatever a shop happens to quote that day.

We are not trying to set prices or influence the market. We simply track what official sources and market activity show, publish it clearly, and correct it quickly when something is wrong. That is the entire purpose behind this site.

How We Started

Our Story

Today Chicken Rates Tracker started from a simple frustration. Chicken prices change every day across Pakistan, but finding a clear, dated, city specific rate was harder than it should have been. Numbers were scattered across shops, word of mouth, and outdated posts, and none of it was easy to check quickly.

The site was built to fix that. Instead of one vague national average, we track farm gate, wholesale, live retail, and meat retail rates separately, city by city, and update them daily. The goal has stayed the same since day one: give people a number they can actually trust before they buy or sell.

Mian Saqib Rasheed

Co-Founder & Manager, Today Chicken Rates Tracker

We built and run Today Chicken Rates Tracker independently. Our day to day work is simple but constant: check today’s rates across every city we cover, verify anything that looks off, publish the update, and follow up on corrections when readers report them.

We are not connected to any single hatchery, poultry integrator, or trading group. That matters, because it means the rates here are not shaped by any one business’s interest. The aim is a neutral, dated snapshot of the market that a household, a shopkeeper, or a restaurant owner can all rely on equally.

“We check the numbers ourselves every day before they go live. If something looks wrong, we want to know about it and fix it fast, not leave a bad number sitting on the page.”

Outside of daily rate checks, we handle site corrections, reader emails, and the ongoing work of adding new cities as the site grows.

Why Trust This Site

Our Editorial Standards

Every rate published here follows the same simple standard: check it, source it, and correct it fast if it’s wrong.

Hands-On Verification

Rates are checked daily against live market and farm gate sources before publishing, not pulled from a single automated feed and left unreviewed.

Specialist Focus

The entire site is built around one topic, poultry pricing, rather than covering general commodities or unrelated market news.

Transparent Sourcing

Every city page states its data source and last updated date, so you can see exactly where a number came from and when it was last checked.

Accountable Corrections

Reported errors get reviewed and fixed, with a visible update note on the affected page, not a quiet edit with no trace.

Where Our Numbers Come From

Our Data Sources

We do not estimate or guess at rates. Every price on this site is checked against official government sources for that city or region, listed below.

Punjab Sahulat Bazaars Authority (PSBA), Government of Punjab
Their daily rate comparison portal is our primary reference for chicken rates across cities in Punjab.

Food Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Their essential commodities price system covers every district and city in KP, and we use it as the source for our KP rates.

Office of the Commissioner Karachi, Government of Sindh
Their official price list is our source for Karachi’s chicken rates specifically.

District Government Lahore (Deputy Commissioner Lahore), Government of Punjab
For Lahore specifically, we cross check against the district’s own official poultry rate list in addition to the provincial PSBA figures.

We do not link out to these portals directly from this page, since government sites can restructure their URLs without notice. If you would like the exact source checked for a specific rate, contact us and we will confirm it for you.

Our Commitment

What We Promise Our Readers

Accuracy First
We would rather show a slightly delayed rate than a wrong one. If we are not confident in a number, we do not publish it.

No Hidden Agenda
We are not owned by or affiliated with any poultry farm, hatchery, or trading company. Our only interest is an accurate rate.

Easy To Understand
We explain farm gate, wholesale, live retail, and meat retail rates in plain language, so you know exactly which number applies to you.

Open To Correction
If you spot a rate that looks wrong, we want to hear about it, and we review every report we receive.
